A native of Connecticut, Pat Foeller moved to the mountains of North Carolina in 1966. She had been an art major as a student and resumed her interest in working with clay in her new home state.
After studying the techniques used in hand building with clay, Pat began creating picture frames and mirrors but the Yankee in her could not let the clay from the openings in her frames go to waste, therefore - pins, boxes, small cylinders and buttons. All her pieces are RAKU fired - an ancient Japanese process.
