The rich saturated glaze colors draw people to Lynda's pottery. She enjoys hearing their comments when they view her complex textures and dense combination of glazes. Each glaze is chosen to compliment and enhance the form, whether it is meant to remind one of heather or thistle, serene waters or harsh landscapes.
Lynda created this line called "Horizons" for the Gallery of the Mountains. It is meant to mimic the criss crossing mountains and hills of beautiful western North Carolina. Each piece may remind you of travels on the Blue Ridge Parkway, a lone mountain scatttered with fallen leaves or looking out the window of your hotel room at the Smokey Mountains in the distance.
Her work is functional and can be used everyday - from mugs, sweet berry bowls for summer treats, family dishware, pasta bowls or large serving platters - her pottery suits all occasions and celebrations. All her pieces are high fire stoneware, lead-free, microwave and dishwasher safe.
