All of the Gallery of the Mountain's potters are local to the area. Click on the artist's name to go to the page with more of their work!

Using innovative techniques like scraffito, carving and impressions, Julie Calhoun Roepnack's pottery is more three dimensional especially her new pieces that have an Arts & Crafts look to them.

Potter Len Lindsay has been working with clay for along time.  He has taught at prestigious schools and his work is included in many well known collections. His simple butter trays evoke curiosity in our customers  - so much so that we have a sign that says "They are elephant tongue depressors but can be used for butter!"

Lynda Gayle Banner has created this lovely line of pottery especially for the gallery, mimicking the beautiful crisscrossing mountains and hills of western North Carolina. The plums, russets, greens and blues will compliment any home.

At seventy three years young, artist Jean Saake has dabbled in virtually every craft form available.  Her hand painted Grove park Inn ornaments and thimbles make a great memento of your visit to the area.

Local potter Gabriel Kline is a very visible part of the art community. His style is distinctive and he calls it Appalachian-Asian.  He uses half porcelain and half stone ware to make his unique pieces.

Colorful pillow pots by Estela Shackleford make a great hostess gift for displaying silk or cut flowers.

The rich ear tones of Laura Addington's pottery go well with any kitchen decor.
